The seventh HoF induction dinner was held on May 7, 1995. There were six inductees from Colonia High, six inductees from JFK Memorial High, and eight inductees from Woodbridge High. The” Legends “group continued with twelve inductees. The location was The Pines Manor. Anthony D’orsi served as president.
The eighth HoF induction dinner was held on March 3, 1996, at The Pines Manor in Edison, N.J. The dinner ceremony was dedicated to Ron Osborne, a former Woodbridge athlete, JFK Memorial football coach, and JFK athletic director. The president that year was Dick Tyrrell. Vice president was Matt Fratterolo. Committee members included Frank Capraro, Sam Lupo, Al Russo, Al Tyrrell, and Ken Tyrrell. There were three inductees from Colonia High, five inductees from JFK Memorial, and five inductees from Woodbridge High. The “Legends” group continued with three inductees. For the first time, championship teams were honored. They included Nick Priscoe’s Woodbridge undefeated 1960 (8-0-1) and Central Jersey Group 1V state sectional co- champions football team and Jim Lake’s Woodbridge Middlesex County 1962-63 and 1963-64 Holiday Festival basketball champions (37 -6 ) during the two seasons.
The ninth HoF induction dinner was held on March 2, 1997, at The Pines Manor in Edison, N.J. The Special Guest of Honor was Lou Creekmur, a former Woodbridge High athlete and member of the NFL Hall of Fame by way of the Detroit Lions. The president that year was Dr. Vince Capraro. The vice president was Matt Fratterolo. The treasurer was Greg Ficarra. Committee members included Leroy Alexander, Frank Capraro, Dr.Emery Konick, Sam Lupo, Al Russo, Rudy Toth, Al Tyrrell, and Ken Tyrrell. There were four inductees from Colonia High, four inductees from JFK Memorial, and five inductees from Woodbridge High. The “ Legends “ group continued with three inductees. Two championship teams were honored. They included Ron Osborne’s JFK Memorial undefeated and untied, 9-0, 1967 Central Jersey Group 1V sectional championship football team and Joe Flaherty’s Woodbridge State Group 1V basketball championship team at 29-2.
The tenth HoF induction dinner was held on March 1, 1998, at the Pines Manor. The dinner ceremony was dedicated to Samuel A. Lupo, a former Woodbridge High football coach and athletic director. The president was Dr. Vince Capraro. Matt Fratterolo served as vice president. Greg Ficarra was treasurer. Committee members included Art Browne, Frank Capraro, Dr. Emery Konick, Al Russo, Al Tyrrell, and Ken Tyrrell. There were four inductees from Colonia High, four inductees from JFK Memorial, and five Inductees from Woodbridge High. There were four inductees from the “ Legends “ category. Two championship teams were honored. They were Bob Sanislow’s Colonia High basketball team for winning the first MC tournament championship in school history, an 81- 77 upset victory over Perth Amboy High with the great Brian Taylor. The second team was Sam Lupo’s Woodbridge undefeated 1969 (8-0-1) football team and their 14-6 upset over Thomas Jefferson of Elizabeth with the great Gil Chapman and Ritchie Wood. The Barrons finished fifth ranked in the State of N.J.
The eleventh HoF induction dinner was held on March 7, 1999, at The Pines Manor. The dinner ceremony honored Johnnie Royle, a former Woodbridge High athlete and sports editor for twenty years of the now defunct Woodbridge Independent Leader. Johnnie fought in WW11 at the Battle of the Bulge. Upon returning home, he was the seven year quarterback of the Woodbridge Golden Bears an historic semi –pro football team in the Township. The president continued to be Dr. Vince Capraro. Matt Fratterolo continued as vice president. Committee members included Art Browne, Frank Capraro, Norma Grasso, Mike Huzar, Dr. Emery Konick, Al Tyrrell, Ken Tyrrell, and Ken Wahl. There were five inductees from Colonia High, four inductees from JFK Memorial, and five inductees from Woodbridge High. There were two inductees from the “ Legends” category. The team induction went to Ron Osborne’s JFK Memorial undefeated and untied (9-0-0) 1971 Central Jersey Group 111- co- sectional football champions and ranked #2 in the final Star Ledger poll.
The twelfth HoF induction dinner was held on March 12, 2000, at The Pines Manor. The dinner ceremony was dedicated to Matt Fratterolo, a former great Woodbridge High football and baseball player and WTAAA leader. The president continued to be Dr. Vince Capraro, and Greg Ficarra served as treasurer. The committee added Sharon DiLonardo to the list of members from the previous year. There were four inductees from Colonia High, five inductees from JFK Memorial, and five inductees from Woodbridge High. The “Legends” group continued with four inductees. The team induction went to Ray Newman’s JFK Memorial 1973- 74 Central Jersey Group 4 state sectional championship basketball team.
